01
Capture the evidence
Click the sentence, table or section you need, or drag a box around it, and write what it tells you. Lasso saves a screenshot of that spot, its text and the page address.
Research
Research that keeps its sources
Competitor pages, pricing, reviews, articles, docs. Research means reading a lot of websites and keeping the few lines that matter. Lasso saves the exact spot with a screenshot, the page it came from and what you made of it, so your findings stay findable and provable.
Sound familiar?
Research on the web usually ends up spread across forty open tabs, a doc of pasted quotes and a folder of screenshots. A week later you have the quote but not the page, or the page but not why it mattered.
And websites change. The pricing you compared on Monday is different by Friday, and the line you quoted in the report is gone when someone checks it.
02
Organize by question
Keep a collection per project or research question, like competitor pricing or onboarding flows. Your library shows every page you looked at, and you can search your notes inside a collection.
03
Turn it into findings
Share the collection so teammates can add their own and reply under yours. When it is time to write it up, Export for AI hands your notes, quotes and screenshots to Claude or ChatGPT to summarize, or gives you a PDF.
What gets better
Every finding comes with its source and a screenshot of how the page looked that day.
The tabs can finally close, because nothing lives only in your head.
A summary is one export away, and every point in it traces back to a real page.
Questions people ask
How do I save research from websites with the source?
Click the part of the page you want to keep and add a note. Lasso saves a screenshot of that spot, the text of the element and the page link into a collection, so every finding keeps its source.
What if the website changes after I save something?
The screenshot is taken the moment you click, so you can still show what the page said that day. Click Visit to open the live page at the same spot and compare.
Can I research with a team?
Yes. Share a collection with teammates and they can add findings, reply under yours and resolve what has been covered.
Can AI summarize my research?
Yes. Export for AI gives you Markdown or a PDF with every note, quote and screenshot, ready to paste into Claude, ChatGPT or another tool. It is on the free plan.
Is my research private?
Yes. A new collection is visible only to you until you share it, and Lasso runs in your browser with nothing installed on the sites you read.
