Reply, mention and resolve comments
Feedback is a conversation until someone decides. How to reply in a thread, bring someone in with an @mention and resolve the comment once it's handled.
Leaving a comment is the easy bit. The work is in what comes after, when somebody answers, somebody decides and somebody actually goes and changes the thing. I wanted all of that to live on the page, right next to the stuff it's about, so nobody has to dig through Slack to find out why the button turned green.
Replying
Click a card in the side panel and it opens up, showing the thread with a reply box underneath. Write your reply, ⌘ Enter, and it's posted.
Whoever left the comment hears about it by email, so does anyone else who's replied, and so does the collection owner. It's in the web app too, which means your teammate who never installed the extension can answer from any browser.
Tagging someone
Type @, then a few letters of a name, and pick from the list. That person gets an email with the comment, its screenshot and a link that lands on the spot.
My one tip here is to ask an actual question. "@Priya can you draft two versions?" tends to get answered. A lone "thoughts?" tends to sit there.
You'll only see people who are in this collection in that list. Missing someone? Add them to the collection first.
Resolving
When it's dealt with, hover the card and click the check. Little burst of confetti, the card flips to resolved, the pin on the page turns green, and the person who raised it gets told.
Nothing gets deleted when you resolve. The comment, the picture and the whole back and forth stick around as a record. If the resolved ones are cluttering the page, the filter in the panel hides them.
A few habits I'd steal
Write the decision down, even if it happened on a call. One line like "going with B" saves a lot of head scratching three weeks later.
Resolve instead of delete. Deleted means gone, reasoning and all.
And tag one person, not five. Something addressed to everybody somehow ends up owned by nobody.

Questions people ask
Who can I @mention?
Anyone in the collection, meaning its owner and the teammates it's shared with. To mention someone new, add them to the collection first.
Who can resolve a comment?
Anyone in the collection. Resolving doesn't delete anything, and the comment and its thread stay in the collection.
Can I hide resolved comments?
Yes. Use the filter in the side panel to show or hide resolved comments on the page.
